YYes. The course is officially measured and certified by World Athletics.
Yes. The cut-off time is 3 hours from the official start time. Sweeper vehicles will collect runners at cut-off points along the course. Please respect the officials at these points; they're doing their jobs and keeping everyone safe.
Yes, multiple pacers will be provided for each batch/pace, and details will be shared across our channels closer to the event.
Yes, every kilometre will be clearly marked with signage.
Yes. The route is closed to vehicles, with traffic management in place throughout.

Yes. Burj2Burj is a single-distance half-marathon event. No alternate distances are offered for 2027.

Transfers are not available on group or partner entries. To initiate a transfer, log in to your Njuko Participant Dashboard and enter the email address of the person you'd like to transfer your entry to. They'll receive an email with instructions to accept the transfer.
Transfers are not available for group allocation, run club, partner, or complimentary entries. No transfers are permitted after the cut-off date.
ONLY for medical deferrals:
Deferred entries are valid for Burj2Burj 2028 only, and cannot be deferred again, refunded, or transferred.
If you're unable to participate due to a medical condition, you can apply for a medical deferral. You'll need to submit an official medical certificate to team@worldsiconic.com. The certificate must be:
Diagnosis details are not required. All medical deferrals are subject to approval by our Management Committee, whose decision is final. The AED 80 fee applies.
All entries are non-refundable under all circumstances, including injury, illness, travel disruption, or change of mind. Please see our Transfer and Deferral options above if you're unable to participate.
Bib collection will be at the Burj2Burj Expo from 21-23 Jan 2027. Location and times will be shared via our channels in the months before the event.
NO BIB, NO RUN. Marshals will remove people without bibs from the course.
Please note: There is no bib collection at the start. We cannot send bibs by post. Bibs will not be reprinted, so please take care of yours.
No. Bib collection is at the Burj2Burj Expo only. There is no collection at the start or anywhere on race morning.

Race packs and bibs must be collected in person. Mailing is not available.
Yes. We offer discounts for groups. Payment is made upfront in full. Please note: there are no deferrals, transfers, or refunds on group entries, and each participant must collect their own bib at the Burj2Burj Expo.

Yes, all registered participants receive an event shirt.
No. Event shirts are made to order and exchanges are not permitted at bib collection. Please select your size carefully during registration.If you’re uncertain, we recommend sizing up.
Yes. Every runner who crosses the finish line within the cut-off time receives a custom-designed Burj2Burj finisher medal.

Yes. Your official time and a downloadable finisher certificate will be available online within 48 hours of the race.
No. Bibs are strictly personal and non-transferable. Bib swapping is prohibited and treated as a serious breach of our T&Cs. It voids insurance coverage for the actual runner, creates medical emergency risk (race medical data is linked to the registered Participant), and corrupts the official results.
Both the registered Participant and the person using the bib will be disqualified and may be permanently banned from future events.

Yes, your race bib includes an integrated timing chip.
All entries are non-refundable. Transfers are available before 03 January 2027. Deferrals are only available for medical reasons and are subject to management approvals.

Yes. Hydration stations are positioned approximately every 2.5 km along the course, starting at the 5km mark, offering water and basic first aid.

Yes! The course is mostly flat and well-suited to both experienced runners and first-timers with the right training.
Not prohibited - but we encourage runners to keep the volume low and stay aware of their surroundings.
No. There is no bag drop at the start. You can leave items in the charity bins at the start line.
Bag drop is at the Burj2Burj Expo. Collection is only on race day and there is no drop-off on race morning.

We do not have the Metro confirmed for Burj2Burj 2027 yet but usually the Metro only opens at 8am on Sundays.
